      What a great comment. It's so true about the "glittery pin-on-pin-on-pin beauties", etc. Things have come a long way since the simple promotional merchandise and VHS tapes, but it's because of those days that there's so much love and enthusiasm for the characters and songs we all continue to enjoy.   Also glad you enjoyed the photos. I'm positive there is a picture of us actually opening all the Disney dolls in 1992, but it's playing hide-and-seek. It'll show up as soon as I stop looking for it.        Wow! That is so neat to think of those pins being a fun find on lanyards. Cool! Sis and I would have enjoyed being into pins back then, but we came late to the party.       Loved reading this. We still have a few of our Disney DVD/Blurays. That picture of the VHS tapes is actually all cases that we collected second-hand in the last six or seven years. Growing up, our family didn't have the money to purchase Disney films. We had the little Sing-a-Long tapes, but all the films in those clamshell cases . . . we checked those out from the library. I think it cost Mom and Pop a lot of slim lunches and things to get those Disney dolls for us, but it sure made a Christmas we still remember!

      Love this!! I have my whole collection on vhs and dvds too.  My love for Disney and Disney World didnt start until I was a teenager when I accompanied a family to help baby sit.  Pin and Disney collecting started after I got a job and had money for pins.  We had humble beginnings and toys and vacations were not high on our list of luxuries for a family of 6.
