PincessJazmin Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Hi all!! I've been on the site for a little over a year and figured since I've become more active on the site recently it was time to say hello! I've been casually collecting pins since 2007. I grew up a military brat and had the amazing privilege of living in Europe for 2 years. I got my first pin at Disneyland Paris! That is my pin collector origin story and now I collect pins everywhere I go! My pin collection includes Disney, Universal, cruising, musicals, museums, and basically any place I've been that sells pins. I've been collecting pins for so long but haven't truly ever organized or cataloged them. In 2022, I discovered the app Whatnot and my Disney pin collection has grown exponentially since then. Through there I learned about this fantastic website and have been slowly cataloging my pins. My goal in 2025 is to have my Disney collection fully cataloged and organized in pin bags and boards to display. My main collections are Jasmine, Frozen, Hades, Meg, Pain & Panic, and It's a Small World. As with any collection, they have evolved over time. I've recently decided I'm going to downsize my Jasmine collection to make room for a bigger dream... Over the past few months, I've realized how deep my love for It's a Small World truly is. I've decided to embark on a journey to try to become complete...an adventure which will definitely be over many years. As for many of us, part of the fun of this hobby is the thrill of the hunt! As any military family will tell you, home isn't just one place. It's where your loved ones are. So I call both Southern California (Torrance about 30-45 min from Disneyland) and the Chicago suburbs home. My sister and BIL are both active-duty Air Force and moved to Okinawa, Japan last summer. My parents and I are planning a trip to visit them this upcoming May. I'm VERY EXCITED I convinced them to make a DREAM pit stop at Tokyo Disneyland Resort!! If you're on instagram, feel free to follow my adventures: pincessjazminadventures Looking forward to getting more involved on the website this year and meeting new pin friends! Fun fact: Disneyland's Niftie Fiftie's Pin Event will be the weekend before my birthday! Excited to celebrate with friends old and new doing something I love! So if you're planning to attend, I would love to meet up and trade in person (especially if you collect TDR pins or have small world pins to trade!) Warm Hugs, Jazmin 2 2 Quote

firechief18 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Welcome, what a great story. Military life can be wonderful and frustrating at the same time. Wonderful experiences and places to see. Downside is you move every few years. Tokyo Disneyland is really cool (visited in 1994, while stationed in Yokosuska). Hope you get the chance to get to Tokyo. 1 Quote

Before our move I used to go a lot. Also if you have never been check out Dayton disneyana. Held in Dayton Ohio at the Hope hotel. Lots of trading going on plus a big room with vendors selling anything Disney. Pin pics is always there. Such a fun weekend in June. Quote
laurielbaker Posted Sunday at 11:48 PM Posted Sunday at 11:48 PM Welcome to PinPics! Wow! You have many stories to tell with your pins:) I am so excited to get to know you! Molly and Joe are the owners of PinPics and along with their team have entered so many pins I to this website to help you catalog your pins and so much more! They’ve been working on an app that will let you look at a pin picture with your phone and it will tell all about the pin and even if it’s in your database. I am not technical at all but this is huge news and is in testing phases! Please check out this web site it full of what goes on etc! Have fun! Quote
