glenpogo Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Quick question - is there a new way to search your pins on the database? The new site looks great and seems to load much quicker. 3 Quote

If you go to your profile, on the left column you'll see a mini dashboard stats block: You can click the PINS DASHBOARD to go to your dashboard home or you can click your Owns, Wants or Trades to go straight to a particular collection. When you are inside your dashboard, select which collection you'd like to search - Owns, Wants, or Trades (1.) and then use the search bar at the right (2. That will search your selected collection. Here are the results when I searched our OWNS for "Grogu". It gave me 57 results for Grogu pins. Hope this helps! 3 Quote
julie.turnock@btinternet.com Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Hi there, I’m so excited to explore the new site. Well done PinPics team! I’m not sure why, but all off my pin dashboard & details appear to have completely disappeared. Any idea why or what I need to do to get it back? Thanks 1 Quote

If you're viewing a pin and want to see who is trading it, just click on the number in the TRADE line in the right-hand column: That should bring up a pop-up box that shows the member list. Click on the member's name or photo avatar to go to their PinPics Profile: Click on their Pins Dashboard Link in the left-hand column of their profile: Now, click on the Compare Pins button on the right: This brings up a box that will be pre-filled with your name and their name. Just select the lists you want to compare . . . . . . and hit the Compare Pins button. Voila! That should get you the comparison list. If you have trouble, just let me know! ~ Sarah Quote
terabyte Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Quick tip for everyone: the pin dashboard link is also available in a member's hovercard together with the shipping info box: 2 Quote

Thank you! We have a setting that forces you to log in after eight hours of inactivity. So, yes, it will ask you to do that. The great thing is that you'll be logged in across the entire site now, rather than having to log in on the front page and also inside the Pin Database area. This is necessary for site security. 1 Quote

vans4bkah Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago When I am looking at pins in the database in grid mode, I cannot tell if it is in my own, want or trade group. If I am in table view mode, I can clearly tell if I own, want, or in the trading group. Why the difference? I would rather not have to open each individual pin. Thank you Quote

Thank you When you're in GRID MODE, all you have to do is hover over the image of a pin to see if you have it marked in a list. If it is in your list, then that button will be brightly colored. Here's a pin in our OWNS list that has the Owns Heart in red. Whereas this shows a pin in our WANTS list, and the button is green: You can add and subtract from your lists by clicking on these buttons to make it easy without having to enter the pin! ~ Sarah 1 Quote
hopemax Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Has anyone tried *printing* a Pin Page? Everything looks nice and compact on the screen. But sometimes it's nice to print a page for record keeping, or maintaining a binder of wants, and when I try to do that it isn't 1-2 pages, but like 25 pages with most of the pages being blank. Quote

Do you mean the PDF generation in your lists, or actually printing a page off the website of a single pin? If it's printing a page of a single pin, we haven't instituted new code for that yet, but it's "in the works"! Thanks for your patience on that. It's been a lot of years since that really worked, and we're excited to be working on getting it back. 1 Quote
hopemax Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago It's just selecting the Print function from a normal browser. For this example, I am using Firefox. Usually, this stuff gets controlled via a print css file. The new PDF Export actually worked well. The old Print to PDF didn't work for me, because I own / want too many pins, and would just get memory errors. Quote

Absolutely, we're working on that Print CSS and will roll that out with some of the future additions. So glad the PDF Export worked well. Thanks for the kind words. The really large lists were a challenge, so it was a great evening when we finally got a working solution on that one! 1 Quote
claven Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I could do the PDF, but when I ask for 10 pins per row it crashed The title of the page is "A configuration or server error has occurred" Either way, love the new format! Quote
