Dayton Disneyana - Supporting a Great Cause

The goal of Dayton Disneyana is to raise funds (and donations of food) for a non-profit program, called Pirate Packs, that feeds children in Dayton. Children who are food-insecure receive a backpack in their lockers at school with food to get them through the weekends (when they don't have access to school lunches).

 

All of the funds are raised in three uniquely Disney events.

 

First is "A Ticket to Ride", where you buy raffle tickets priced between $1 and $5 and use those tickets to get a chance at all kinds of Disney items, most donated just for the occasion.

 

At the "Gadgets and Gizmos" event, you buy a number (or several numbers), and when your number is pulled, you get to go to the prize table and pick any prize from the table (again, Disney related). Both of these events are held on Friday night.

 

The last event is a live auction called Lively Live Auction, held on Saturday night, where you can bid on any number of wonderful Disney items.

 

All proceeds from these three events (minus any credit card fees) go directly to Pirate Packs. And, of course, they accept monetary donations as well.
 

The last two years, due to the generosity of the Disneyana participants, over $20,000 has been raised each year. Won't you join us next year and plan to participate in these wonderful events for a wonderful cause?
