StarkWurks Posted Thursday at 10:38 PM Posted Thursday at 10:38 PM Purchased a pin directly from the Disney online store, so I know it is authentic, but can't seem to locate in the PP database. Can someone please assist? I found it in two other online databases. Quote
Dragon57 Posted Thursday at 11:35 PM Posted Thursday at 11:35 PM @StarkWurks The pin might be new enough and might not be in the database yet. Quote
Solution sithathoriunet Posted Friday at 05:19 AM Solution Posted Friday at 05:19 AM Looks like it came out last summer. I'm not seeing it in the database, either. It will need to be added. 1 Quote
StarkWurks Posted yesterday at 02:01 AM Author Posted yesterday at 02:01 AM I’m still pretty new to this site. Who is responsible for adding pins to the DB? Quote

Anyone can add pins, as long as their account is atleast 30 days old. There are guidelines for what to do when you submit a pin. 1 Quote

Yes, if your account is at least 30 days old you can add the pin to the database. You can find the section for "add pin" under Pins Database. I've included photos of where this is from my iPad for reference. On a desktop I believe it is at the top vs side. This page includes 2 guides to help: HOW TO ADD A PIN to the PinPics Database & Photo Guidelines In my opinion, the most time consuming part is taking the photo. The main things are you want to have a white background behind the pin and to be as focused as possible to capture the pin well. Be sure to take photos of front & back of pin as well as photos of backer card if applicable. Once you have the photos, filling out the form is easy. I tend to see if there are other pins already in the database similar to mine and use that for the starting point on the wording of my listing to be added. There is also a very cool feature in pin listing under pin information for "add similar pin" This allows you to pull over information from the pin you're looking at into the add a pin form so all you have to do is edit to add/delete information specific to your pin. After you submit, it goes into a queue for admins to review and edit before being added to the site. It usually only takes a few days. Once your pin is approved, you'll receive a notification. My favorite part is then going to check the listing and being able to add it on my owns or trades list. If your account is less than 30 days old, you have 2 options. Can wait until the 30 day mark to be able to add the pin yourself. Or you could send a message to @TheTwins with your photos and any info on the pin and they can add it to the queue of pins admins are adding to the site. Hope this is helpful! Welcome to Pin Pics! StarkWurks Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago That you for all the details. I’ve got a while before I reach the 30 day mark! Haha. If someone adds it first, all good! Quote
