armybeans Posted September 27 Posted September 27 So I have had these pins for over 20 years and just found them again. I am trying to figure out why the back of the Minnie pin is different then the Mickey? The Minnie seems to have some kind of black substance fused to the back with the artists name while the Mickey say AB Paris. I don't think it was an accident or misprint, so can only think it was intentional. Does this make the pin worth more or less? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Quote
TheTwins Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Hi! Both of the pins you have were made by manufacturer ARTHUS BERTRAND. They used to make some licensed Disney pins before pin trading came became an official parks thing. It’s not uncommon for the manufacturer to use their initials on the back of small pins and jewelry, rather than spelling it out. Your pins were just made with different backstamps, which is not at all unusual. That does not change the value or anything on the pin. Those are some cool vintage pins you have! ~Sarah 1 Quote
