PinPics Admin Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR USING THE SELLING BOARDS ON THE PINPICS FORUM: 1. All pins/cards for sale or trade must be IN HAND. No confirmation of purchase posts. All sales posts MUST contain A.) Pictures of any pins (list with PP numbers is optional, but recommended as it is helpful for members), including clear pictures of the backs of any HM/CL pins. B.) Prices for each pin C.) Shipping price D.) Payment options. 2 Payments for Sales: Paypal payments as Goods/Services is the preferred method of payment and will protect all parties involved. PayPal Friends, Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, Facebook Pay is also acceptable ONLY if buyer is comfortable with that option and understands the risks. Buyers and sellers interact at their own risk with these forms of payments. If you have an issue with a trade or sale, please contact an admin. We will try and help mediate the situation. Admins/Mods are not responsible for any money or items lost but we will try to assist to resolve the issue. If things aren’t corrected, admins have the right to remove buying/selling privileges from anyone at any time. 3. Fantasy Pins: No presales. All fantasy pins must be in hand. If selling fantasy pins that are in hand, it must be clearly posted that they are fantasy and cannot be traded with cast members at the park. As with all sales, prices must be posted. 4. Disney pins and merchandise are the only items to be bought or sold in these boards. Disney fan made items such as ears, mugs ornaments hair bows, and others may be sold, but the seller must let members know they are not made by Disney. You guys are all so talented; lets support each other. 5. No live sales, auctions or grab bag sales/trades on these selling boards. 6. No buying, selling or trading scrappers/fakes. 7. When selling Hidden Mickey or Cast Lanyard pins: Back of the pin(s) must be clearly shown when posting. 8. There will be no opportunity drawings or lucky draw raffles allowed in the sales boards. 9. Prices, fees and shipping must be clearly posted. It is assumed PayPal fees are included in sales posts unless stated otherwise. 10. Shipping: Shipments should be sent within 72 hours of the agreed purchase or sale. If you cannot make the 72 hours mark you MUST communicate that upfront with the other person and have agreement on the shipping timeline. Shipments for sales in these boards must be shipped with bubble wrap and a bubble mailer or box. You are responsible for getting the pin to the person you sold to with the item in the condition it was shown to them. Tracking should be shared with the trader/purchaser for all trades and sales. Including international, typically a customs # is obtained. International packages must ship as package following USPS rules. No flat envelopes as then the pin wouldn’t be in a bubble mailer. 11. Non-payment or non-shipping for a sale transaction in these boards may result in permanent removal of buying/selling privileges on the PinPics forum. 12. Members can have all buying/selling privileges removed without warning for any reason the admin team determines to be necessary for the safety and peace of mind of our members and team. You will meet amazing people in this hobby, and we want to foster those relationships. ENJOY!! 13. Each member may only have one (1) active/open thread per board at a time. Please combine your sales into one thread, but as many replies as you would like to add. FOR SALE SECTION (WHEN AVAILABLE) RULE 8.0 - Age Requirement All members must be at least 18 years of age in order to use the FOR SALE sections (When/Where Available). PinPics' administrators reserve the right to suspend and/or revoke any member's privileges within these sections in the event the member is believed to be under 18 years of age. Members must be 18 years of age or older to buy and/or sell on PinPics. RULE 8.1 - General Sales Ad Rules Sellers must have the item in hand at time of sale. No third-party sales are allowed. A key factor in our FOR SALE section is that the SELLER is responsible for accurately describing and promptly shipping or delivering the purchased item. If the buyer does not receive an item they paid for the seller must provide a refund. Sellers are advised to use shipping methods that include proof of delivery. Items posted in the FOR SALE section MUST contain (1) a general description of and a picture of the ACTUAL item for sale (See RULE 8.2 for exception) (2) the price you are asking for the item, and (3) Accepted forms of payment. Other forum members may not make negative comments about the pricing of an item or the FOR SALE listing in general, but if you believe an item is falsely or inaccurately represented, please contact a moderator or direct your comments to the poster through the PM messaging system. RULE 8.2 - Listing Hidden Mickey and/or Cast Lanyard Pins Any and all listings of any Hidden Mickey and/or Cast Lanyard Series pins are REQUIRED to include pictures of the front AND backs of all HM and CL pins. Any sale threads including HMs or Cast Lanyard pins that do not include pictures of the backs of those pins will be subject to removal. RULE 8.2(a) - Pricing, payment & shipment It is required that all FOR SALE ads be listed in US Dollars only. However, it is not against the rules to include a foreign currency price within the add. If you chose to do so, the foreign price MUST be accompanied by a price quoted in US Dollars. We understand that an exact translation is not possible when converting the foreign price to the price in US Dollars. However, we ask that you please include a close approximate. You may not only require that buyers pay as PayPal "gift" as this limits buyers ability to seek PayPal refunds if the transaction goes wrong. Any ad requiring using the PayPal friends option must include another form of accepted payment. Also buyers should not ask sellers to list a purchase as a "gift" or lie about the value on official custom forms as this requires a seller to commit perjury. NOTE: If seller has a policy restricting shipment to US, Europe, etc. please include what country or countries you will ship to in your ad. If you will only ship to the US then include that in your listing. RULE 8.2(b) - Auctioning in Sales Listings There will be NO auctioning. RULE 8.2[c] - "Best Offer" Phrases The use of the statements "best offer," "price on request", or similar phrases is acceptable as long as those phrases are accompanied by a stated price. For example, "$80 OBO" ($80 or best offer) is acceptable but "OBO / Or Best Offer" without a price is not. RULE 8.2(d) - Lists of Items If you have a list of items for sale, please post that list on the board and do NOT post a Word or Corel document for users to download. All items must be actually listed and shown on the PinPics sale listing. RULE 8.2(e) - Links to Outside Websites in Sales Posts In this section, we do not allow the posting of general links to outside websites for additional pictures or where other pins/merch, not listed on this site, is for sale. This feature is for the protection of our members. Without this restriction here, some users would abuse this by posting innocent looking links to viruses or inappropriate content. Additionally, in the case of fraud, modify or remove item pictures on the outside website. RULE 8.3 - Sellers Backing Out Once a written contract is made (email and PM's count as a writing), we strongly encourage sellers to follow through with the transaction. If not, sellers could subject themselves not only to penalties on their PinPics account, but also civil and criminal penalties in their state. Using the FOR SALE section is a privilege of our membership and NOT a right. Sellers backing out of transactions will be subject to punishment, including (but not limited to) removal of all of the seller's current FOR SALE listings and having their selling rights revoked. Remember, backing out of deals makes not only the seller look bad, but reflects poorly on the board and its owners. It also breeds lots of distrust among members. Therefore, we at PinPics take such issues very seriously. PinPics cannot force members to complete transactions. Where a seller has backed out of a transaction after a sale contract has been made, we request that you please send the PinPics Administration or the For Sale Section Moderator notification of the issue. If there is sufficient evidence to illustrate that a seller has in fact backed out of a deal after there was a contract, the seller will be subject to punishment, including (but not limited to) having their selling/buying rights revoked. Please be aware this section does not apply to incidents where the buyer has contracted to purchase an item and then fails to deliver payment in the manner and/or time specifically stated within the original buyer-seller agreement. If this happens, the agreement is void and the seller is free to relist their item(s) for sale. RULE 8.4 - Buyers Backing Out Once a written contract is made (email and PM's count as a writing), we strongly encourage buyers to follow through with the transaction. If not, buyers could subject themselves not only to penalties via the PinPics Administration, including (but not limited to) having all their selling/buying privileges revoked. PinPics cannot force members to complete transactions. Where a buyer has backed out of a transaction after a sale contract has been made, we request that you please send the PinPics Administration a notification of the issue. If there is sufficient evidence to illustrate that a buyer has in fact backed out of a deal after there was a contract, the buyer will be subject to punishment, including (but not limited to) removal of all privileges within the FOR SALE sections. Buyers are encouraged to follow through with all transactions in a prompt and courteous manner according to their agreement with the seller. Remember, backing out of deals makes not only the buyer look bad, but reflects poorly on the board and its owners. It also breeds lots of distrust among members. Therefore, we at PinPics take such issues very seriously. Please be aware this section does not apply to incidents where the seller has contracted to sell an item and then fails to deliver the item in the manner specifically stated within the original buyer-seller agreement. RULE 8.5 - Penalties Generally, there are no permanent penalties associated with violations of the FOR SALE section rules. However, depending on the nature of the infraction and/or the user's history of violations, PinPics does reserve the right to immediately suspend and/or ban any member posting in violation of this section. RULE 8.6 - Ad Expiration Ads are available for at least 30 days. PinPics is set to delete all For Sale ads that have not received any posts in the last 30 days. If a member's item has not sold and/or the member's ad is deleted due to no posts in 30 days, the member is certainly free to repost a For Sale ad for the item. RULE 8.7 - Limit of Active Sales Threads Per Board No more than 1 (one) active/open ad per member at any one time in each Sale board. The PinPics owners and administration reserves the right to remove any ad for any reason at their discretion with no prior warning. Remember, the FOR SALE, TRADE, and WANTED sections are a convenience for forum members/subscribers and not a place for free hosting of your large pin/merch store. If you have multiple items to offer for sale, list them in one thread per board. If you wish to close a thread and start a new one, reply to the first thread and state this sale is closed and use the "Report" button to alert the Staff to mark your old thread as CLOSED. RULE 8.8 - Excessive "Bumping" of Ads Members must wait a minimum of 72 hours (three days) prior to "bumping" a post, or making price reductions. If the administrators and/or moderators of PinPics feel this rule has been violated, offending threads may be locked or edited.
