grottopins Posted Thursday at 07:51 PM Posted Thursday at 07:51 PM Hi pin friends! I've got a pin on my hands that I cannot seem to get any intel on. I traded for it back in 2023 at Epcot. The trader did not have much info on it (she got it from a trade herself) but I traded for it because it was something I had not seen before, it was a PP, and came from WDI. These are my own photos. I'm not even sure what the pin itself is depicting? Is it something from Star Wars? A space-themed ride vehicle or something? Any leads would be greatly appreciated! Quote
buzz2001 Posted Friday at 03:10 PM Posted Friday at 03:10 PM I don't see anything like that. Not even sure what it is. Quote
ViciousLady Posted Friday at 03:46 PM Posted Friday at 03:46 PM Okay...I checked the Aliens Ride UFO, The Cat from Outer Space, The defunct Flying Saucers, and then my friend walked past and said 'Oh, it's a droid' (she's a star wars fan). So I checked and she's 100% right it looks like the confused head of the T3M4 droid. STILL couldn't find the pin, but maybe a Star Wars collector can be tapped in to help? 1 Quote
sithathoriunet Posted Friday at 05:20 PM Posted Friday at 05:20 PM Yeah I didn't find anything under Star Wars or Droid with WDI selected. 1 Quote
Solution grottopins Posted 3 hours ago Author Solution Posted 3 hours ago Wow thank you all for the help! My current guess is that I believe it may be a real deep cut from the WDI research and development team. They have a page on their website talking about a prototype droid they made named "Jake" (J4-K3) that was made to roam around Tomorrowland before Star Wars Galaxy's Edge was built. https://www.ocregister.com/2017/10/10/a-droid-named-jake-roams-disneyland-will-this-and-other-droids-follow-you-around-in-star-wars-land/ What a fun treasure hunt this has been! I've been on this hunt for 2 YEARS!!! Anyone have any intel on this droid or if there are other references to him around the parks? 3 Quote
TheTwins Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago @grottopins - Now that is some great detecting there! Totally spot-on match! We will get this added to the database as a prototype, along with the info about what it is! 2 Quote
