AshasRoyalWish Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I’m having a hard time deciding on an organization system. I collect all sports of pins. I have a bunch from the Countdown to the Millenium and the 100 years of dreams set so I’m good there. Then I have a bunch of vintage pins, pins that remind me of my past experiences from Disney, Disney Princess pins, some grand opening and anniversary pins, and some pins I actually bought from different trips. I didn’t start collecting until March of 2025, and been 3 times since then and also on a cruise in addition to one of the trips, so the pins I got on each trip I want to keep separate on lanyards, but should I organize all the anniversary pins, holiday pins, vintage pins, nostalgia pins? Or organize them by character, or by set (Rapunzel and Cinderella from the Paris Princess animators set)? I’m making this way harder than it needs to be , I know. I’m not creative enough to frame them yet and I’m also broke from all the trips to Disney in the past year any ideas or pictures would be helpful. Thank you! 2 Quote
buzz2001 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I organize mine pins by theme. So I have all my patriotic pins together, Buzz Lightyear together, Walt pins in three groupings, Partners, Storytellers, and the rest, and all my Coronado Springs pin together. 1 Quote
sithathoriunet Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Most of my pins are divided into character collections and displayed on pages or on banners/bulletin boards. I only collect dated pins of events or holidays that happened while I was in one of the parks, and those are displayed chronologically. Hidden Disney sets that are complete go into a separate pin bag and are displayed chronologically as well. Any Hidden Disney pins that aren't part of a complete set are with their character collection. 1 1 Quote

I got the dated ones a while back right after I started collecting but I think I might add those to my traders list. I like your idea of grouping them in their sets when the set is complete, that makes sense to me (I need the boards to make sense in my mind lol) so I will group the characters together until I complete the collection (if that ever happens). I also might add a bunch to my traders list to help complete some sets. Thank you for your reply!! 1 Quote

I like this idea, I’ve separated mine into different themes as well and my vintage mickeys, Minnie’s, Holidy Donald complete set and Fantasia complete set are in a separate little pin binder. If I had room for Lade and the tramp bone puzzle on the mini board I’d put it in there too. I have my muppets Christmas Carol advent calendar displayed on a cork board but I really want the new Kermit cork board. The rest I might try to group in chronological order by character so when I get new ones I don’t need to rearrange! Thank you for your reply! 1 Quote
buzz2001 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Love the sport theme. God knows I don’t need another collection. Haha 1 Quote
AshasRoyalWish Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago I definitely need to narrow down my collection, I’m having a hard time though. I love Minnie’s main attractions 2020 because I was there when the parks closed for Covid, I love ESPN Sports because my daughter cheers so we go every year, and my brother went when I was younger for soccer, I love helping people get their favorites though so it’s so much fun to trade when you can really help someone get what they want 1 Quote
