alkiorincognito Posted yesterday at 12:12 AM Posted yesterday at 12:12 AM Hey folks. Interested in your opinions on this pin that I recently acquired in a trade (not on this platform). The pin just doesn't look right to me, but I can't put my finger on why. Thanks in advance! Quote
KimC Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Hi! I replied to your post yesterday, but I think it was removed because I included an external link. IMO your pin is not real because the paint on the front is streaky and the back side writing is not clear (unless it's the photo). Use Google image and you will find photos of the authentic version to compare to. I hope this helps! Kim 1 Quote
TheTwins Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Looking at your pin, I feel like it actually looks okay -- though I'm not familiar with it, in particular. The "streaks" are actually just rubbing wear to the enamel, and that happens on a lot of pins. Totally normal for one that has been traded and worn on a lanyard. These pins are not very large, and the back actually looks pretty good. They tend to be a bit messy compared to larger, higher-quality releases. Using Google image search is only good if you know that the results returned are good pins. Most pin photos floating around can be hard to verify. I would wait to see if someone who is familiar with these pins comes forward to offer advice. ~ Sarah Quote
