TheTwins Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 In happy celebration of 25 pin-filled years, we're starting this thread as a place where we can all share pin trading photos or stories from over the years! Do you have a picture from the first time you ever went pin trading? Do you have a special pin story from years ago that still gives you warm fuzzies? Did you meet Scoop @ScoopsPins on Main Street? If so, can you share a photo from that encounter? Did you ever go on a DizPins Trading Cruise back in the day? Do you have pictures of pin trading in the parks? These are just some starter questions to give you some ideas of things to share here. Let's celebrate 25 Years of Disney Pins! 2 1 Quote
buzz2001 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 @TheTwins You're funny. I met Scoop before cell phone photography. It was harder to carry around a camera along with all your pins. I'll have to search through some boxes of pictures for our trips. I know I took photos. I did the Happy Haunts pin event in Oct/Nov 2002, met Scoop in April 2003, and the Pin Trading Under the Sea cruise in Nov 2003. 2 4 Quote

swim2sea Posted January 26, 2025 Posted January 26, 2025 This is my modest pin trading pin board. It’s not big and fancy but I’m working on it. 1 3 Quote
swim2sea Posted January 26, 2025 Posted January 26, 2025 Some of them are very old “not so official” pins. All of them have special memories for me. I can remember where I got all the Scoop pins. 1 2 Quote

jackpumpkinhead Posted Tuesday at 01:31 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:31 AM In 2018, I was at Disney Springs late at night, and the family decided to get ice cream. While we're sitting there eating, I take a moment to organize my pin bag, and I have a family come up and ask to look through what I have. As much as I am ready to grab the boat back to French Quarter, I'm not gonna turn down a couple kids, so I let them look through, trade a couple things, I don't remember what exactly, but it felt nice to pass along a few tips on what to look for & where to find more pins in the park. 1 Quote
swim2sea Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I’ve been fortunate enough to count Scoop among my personal friends. Our friendship stated with pin trading and turned into an out of the parks experience. I have been to every annual pin event since they started making 2025 my 25th event. I’m hoping to once again be able to make the cut for the 2026 event. I used to go to Downtown Disney and sit outside at the tables and pin trade. It was a great way to meet new traders and longtime traders. I also wore a jumbo lanyard and people would always ask to see my pins. pin trading is almost a way of life. I made friends through trading on PinPics that I’ve never met in person. I’ve made friends all over the world and it’s so educational to see how they trade. I have so many stories about pin trading that I might just write another book. . 1 1 Quote
