COMMEMORATIVE POSTAGE STAMP Collection (WDCS/DEC)
Each of these LE250 POSTAGE STAMP pins has serrated edges and features a bust profile of a Disney character (facing right) on a glittered background. The original release year of that character’s movie is on the right side of the pin. The character is a pin-on-pin element, and the pins measure 1-2/3 x 2-1/4 inches.
On 8 Mar 2021, the first set of Postage Stamp pins was released by DEC at shopDisney.com (COVID shutdown). These Disney Princess pins were created especially for International Women’s Day (March 8 ) and sold exclusively to D23 Gold Members. (Subsequent series would be available only to US-based Disney Employees and Cast Members with a valid Disney employee ID.)
The second series was also released on shopDisney.com. For the third (23 Sep 2021) series, however, it was announced that the release would “no longer be held at shopDisney.com. Our pin releases will be processed through the same system we use for our ongoing online store.”
