EPCOT World Showcase Flag Icon Series
The research on these pins is a work in progress, and this PinPics Series List will be updated when necessary.
Since 1997, Disney has been producing these iconic Mickey-head pins, each one themed after the flag associated with one of the 11 World Showcase pavilions at EPCOT. For our purposes, here on PinPics, each different version must have a listing of its own. There are variations in enamel, color, back pattern, number of posts, and plating. Before cataloguing your pin (or agreeing to trade/sell), please carefully read the information inside each listing.
PinPics FAKE notes for World Showcase Mickey-Head Icon Flag pins: These pins have only ever been made by Disney in silver. Real cloisonne pins have never been faked. Pins made from 1997 through 2004 have not been faked. Pins with a 2005 or 2006 OPT logo on the back are iffy (may or may not be real). Pins with a 2007 OPT logo on the back are always fake. Pins with a 2008 OPT logo on the back may or may not be real. Do not trade for a 2007 pin, and trade with caution for 2005, 2006, and 2008 pins.
