    Special D23 Edition (D23 Expo 2019, August 23-25)

"Welcome to the Tiny Kingdom of Pin Trading. This fun, new adventure allows you to collect and trade the tiniest of pins around the parks. Build a park map from opening day of Disneyland in 1955! Use this map to build your park map and hold any extra pins for trading with friends. Collect all 22 tiny pins in this Special Edition series." Even though the first Tiny Kingdom mystery pins had been previewed two weeks earlier (on 9 Aug 2019) at the WDW Pin Trading FAIRYTAILS event, this Special D23 Edition was the first to be released to the public. To kick things off, there was a Map and Pin Kit, comprising one hanging canvas map and one pin ($24.99, LE2000). The real attraction, though, was the set of 22 small pins to be used with the map. They were available in the "Tiny Kingdom" Mystery Box containing three random pins ($19.99, Limited Release). The entire black-and-white collection was done in greytones, map to pins, and featured a variety of characters, landmarks, and icons associated with Disneyland Resort.

Map and Pin Kit, Castle Starter Pin, D23 Expo Logo, Partners Statue, WDTV Channel 28 Camera, Donald and Candy PalaceDisneyland News, Welcome Sign, Mickey Head Flowerbed, Clarabelle and General Market, Minnie and Plaza Pavilion, Music Hall, Penny Arcade, Disneyland City Hall, Adult Ticket, Mickey and Emporium, Gothic D, Goofy and Town Pharmacy, Main Street Cinema, a Popcorn Cart, Main Street Fire Station, Disneyland Railroad, Autopia Race Car, and Horse-drawn Trolley.

Several of the colored pins were released at one park and then at the other park in a later series. These will not be counted as Shared, because the Edition and Series number changed, so they'll be listed for both parks in the appropriate place. The WDW pins may sometimes be about 1/16" larger than the ones released at DLR. Unfortunately, like other Disney pins, Tiny Kingdom pins have been faked.

    First Edition Series 1 (10 Oct 2019)

The first Tiny Kingdom mystery pins shown to the general public (this Series 1) were previewed on 9 Aug 2019 at the WDW Pin Trading FAIRY TAILS event, but their release two months later (on 10 Oct 2019)  meant they were not the first TK pins on the market. While the D23 edition may have been out first, the park-specific and color pins of this Series 1 started the craze that still drives collectors on to find "just one more". A Map and Castle Pin Starter Kit was also available for each park.

The TINY KINGDOM First Edition Series 1 mystery boxes contained three random pins ($19.99, Limited Release). Each park had its own boxes and 24 pins to collect, but this Series 1 had 13 shared pins. So, WDW and DLR each had 11 unique pins in their boxes, and completists were scrambling from coast to coast. The Limited Release pins were designed to spotlight a variety of attractions, treats, characters, and merchandise. And lots of Christmas cheer!
