TRADE ASSIST does the work for you by comparing your Trades or Wants with another user's Wants or Trades. For it to do that, though, it's absolutely imperative that your Wants and Trades lists be accurate. Once you've traded, bought or sold a pin, make sure to update your lists as soon as possible.
Hoping to trade a lot? The more pins in your Wants and Trades lists, the easier it is for Trade Assist to find trading partners for you. It can be quite challenging to make trades if you have 512 wants and only 8 traders (or vice versa).
This user, with so few wants and trades, will be difficult to trade with and won't usually come up in the Trade Assist comparisons:

You should only populate your list with pins you actually want or have to trade. Putting every pin in the database into your Wants list doesn't help. You want to make sure that your lists reflect your willingness (and ability) to trade.

The more options (traders and wants) you offer the Trade Assist feature to work with, the more trades that will come your way. (Many traders believe that the best PinPics trading happens when your Wants and Trades number more than 1,000.) Not all requests turn into trades, so it's important to offer those pins which you are willing to trade or actually want.
