One of eight pins from the 2013 Goofy Short Sports set of Hidden Mickey pins that was released in Wave B at Walt Disney World. Each elliptical pin features one character, Disney’s own Goofy, engaging in different sporting activities, as he appeared in various animated shorts. The unenameled backgrounds have a sandblasted pebble finish with a thick rim. The small Hidden Mickey icon is in different places on these silver backgrounds. Pins were originally only available by trading with a cast member. In July 2013, pouches containing two random 2013 Hidden Mickey pins were available to purchase for $10.95.
This Completer pin features Goofy in a yellow shirt, green uniform, and brown boxing gloves. He’s posing in a classic boxing stance, like in “The Art of Self Defense”, a Disney cartoon short. The Hidden Mickey icon is in the bottom-right corner of the pin. This pin was only available as blind-bag PWP for $2.95 with $30+ purchase at Walt Disney World.
The five common pins include Goofy playing football and basketball, skiing, swimming, and riding a horse. Skiing and Horseback Riding are repeated on the two silver Chaser pins. Goofy boxing is on the Completer pin.
