Front Description
Mickey Mouse has had a long film career, and some of his best roles are commemorated on this pin. Mickey (left, facing slightly left) is shown from the chest up, with elbows resting on something and his head resting on his hands. Closed-mouth smile, he looks upward and to the right. A small portion of his red shorts is visible. Behind him are two pieces of filmstrip: black with light blue background. The top strip is a three-frame piece. On the middle frame is Steamboat Willie at the helm, with hands on the boat\'s wheel (he is whistling); on the right frame is a classic Mickey with arms behind his back, looking left. On the lower two-frame piece of film is Classic Mickey in his role as The Band Leader at left; he is looking right. The lower right frame is Mickey trying on Yensid's blue hat in Fantasia's "The Sorcerer's Apprentice." Film strips are curved and tilted somewhat.
The pin measures 1" (25 mm) tall by 1 1/2" (38 mm) wide. Gold metal. Single point with double nubs. Reverse is lightly pebble-textured. Reverse reads "© Disney, Made in China." It also has a light after-creation stamp on the back left side: P389-7448-2-14042; this number is also stamped on the back of the display card, and appears to be the same on all the new styles. Known by Jerry Leigh as History Mick.
