Front Description
This Cast Exclusive pin is the first in a series of four commemorating four Disney theme park attractions that were introduced at the New York World's Fair in 1964. This first pin commemorates "it's a small world."
The pin is a multi-colored stylized rendition of the front of the Disneyland it's a small world attraction's clock tower and background building, with the white doors of the clock open. Below that it has in white on a blue background, "50th Anniversary." Below that in gold on an orange background it has "New York World's Fair * 1964-65." And below that on the bottom of the pin in gold on a red colored banner it has "it's a small world."
The pin is mounted on the left side of a unique backer card. At the top of the card, which is decorated with abstract designs in several pastel colors, it has "50th Anniversary New York World's Fair it's a small world FIRST IN A SERIES OF FOUR." Below that in white on a purple background it has, "The New York World's Fair held in 1964-65 introduced to the world four new attractions that still exist in Disney theme parks today. The first of these attractions was it's a small world known for its joyous and colorful celebration of children from around the world. Where a simple tune sung in various languages demonstrated then and still proclaims today a world of hope and peace is possible for all."
The pin back has one post near top center on a gold Mickey icon waffle pattern that extends past the edges without borders. There are four stamped sections below the post. First to the left is the 2014 ODPT logo. To its right it has "CAST EXCLUSIVE LIMITED EDITION 500." Below the logo it has "(c)DISNEY CHINA," and to its right is the code P389-7448-2 13350.
The pin measures approx. 1 3/4" x 1 5/8" and the backer card is 3" x 5" which comes in a sealed cellophane envelope.
