DISNEY'S CENTORIUM THANKS A MILLION LAPE PIN JAN 3, 1998. CENTORIUM was a gift shop that opened 10/1/82 at Epcot. Cast members were given the pin in 1998 before the Store closed for renovations in 1999. While main store was undergoing renovations, the hallway that runs the length of the building from the breezeway to the Logo Plaza/Test Track side was open selling a limited selection of Centorium items. When renovations were completed the store was re-named mouse Gears and CENTORIUM was gone.The Centurium was the Epcot version of the Magic Kingdom’s Emporium. the back of the pin is stamped Disney
