Front Description
This Piece of Disneyland Resort History showcasing the Rivers Of America attraction is actually the 12th pin of the 2014 series. It comes on a 2014 PODH backer card and has the official 2014 ODPT logo on the back of the pin and the back of the card. Although it was released on March 12, 2015, it was probably meant to be the December PODH in the 2014 series.
This pin features Mickey Mouse dressed in a brown with sunburst design Native American's robe with blue and orange feathers mounted on his head between his ears. The bottom of the pin and Mickey from the waist down is surrounded by a row of rocks, which is a pin on pin 3D element. Mickey is in the Indian village with a native shaman standing behind him wearing a bear skin robe (gray) and holding a totem stick. To his right is a (brown) animal hide stretched on a frame that has the words "RIVERS of AMERICA" on it in gold letters. In the lower middle of the pin is the domed capsule that holds the "piece" of material from the attraction,
which is explained on the back of the special backer card, which reads
RIVERS of AMERICA. This pin contains a piece of the braid trim from the
Native American's pants, as depicted along the Rivers of America
attraction at Disneyland© Park. The tribe and various Audio-Animatronic ©
wildlife are some of the popular sights surrounding Tom Sawyer's Island
since the park opened in 1955. The upper right corner of the back of this
backer card has the 2014 ODPT logo, and the top right corner of the front
of this backer card has the year 2014.
