This 2" color die cast medal features items from Cinderella - the glass slipper, a pumpkin, and the clock striking midnight. "Earning My Glass slipper" is inscribed across the base of the medal which is suspended from a bright blue ribbon.
This medal was made for those not able to make it to Walt Disney World for the Glass Slipper Challenge on Princess Weekend but who still wanted to be a part of the action. They do so by participating in a virtual race - the "Earning My Glass Slipper" virtual run. There are two options, either the 1.93 mile training run or the 19.3 accumulative run. The medal is the same for both runs except for the laser engraved distance over the clock face. The proceeds from the sale of the medal were to go to the Give Kids The World Village. Give Kids The World Village is a nonprofit resort in Kissimmee, Florida for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. The resort's focus is providing accommodations and access to donated theme park tickets. Families that visit Give Kids The World must be referred by one of over 250 wish-granting organizations or foundations, such as Make-A-Wish Foundation.
