Front Description
This pin is a black etching on gold of the Cheshire Cat. His stripes are maroon or dark purple. It is approximately 1 inch across and 1/2" top to bottom. On the back of the pin are the words "Bravo, les Imaginers!" with "EuroDisneyland 1991" Copyright Disney. I believe this pin was part of a gift set given to the Imagineers that worked on EuroDisneyland, now known as Disneyland Paris.
The 5 pin EuroDisney Imagineering set consists of:
Pin 1841, Pin 1863, Pin 2005, Pin 2316, Pin 10906
*NOTE*
There seem to be a lot of this old pin showing up for sale and trade lately. Be careful with this pin. The ones showing up on WDW lanyards lately have a smooth back and the text is raised. The pin post is twice the length of a normal pin post. There is a small nub next to the pin post to keep the pin from spinning when worn.
[2008 comment: Both pins have the nub on the left side of the post. Both have raised lettering. The one with the long post is smooth & shiny on the gold front as well as on the back; The other (shown in picture) has a brushed look (from upper left to lower right) across the entire pin front and a slightly textured back. The brushed pin (with regular length back) is typically rather worn looking with some black showing through (it's quite an old pin, so this isn't surprising). Hope this helps!]
