Front Description
Donald Duck, turned and facing left, is snow skiing in California's Squaw Valley. The brooch-style gold metal pin shows Donald in a yellow shirt and snow cap / hat with white trim, dark blue skis with red shoe boots and skier poles with black ends to them. Donald's eyes are black with whites (rather than the normal light blues). His arms are both lifted as if he was getting ready to dig into the snow. Big open-mouth red smile. At the base of the pin is a gold bordered red rectangle with "SQUAW VALLEY" in gold.
The pin measures 3/4" (19 mm) wide by 1 1/8" (28 mm) tall. The reverse has a straight back with clasp, cross-hatch texture and a simple "© DISNEY" at the bottom. One of a series of ski resort pins created during that time period.
