Mickey Mouse faces right in somewhat of a jump position as he skis the slopes in Vail, Colorado. he is snow skiing in Sun Valley. The gold metal pin shows Mickey in a one-piece ski suit, with red skis, white gloves, red goggles and yellow shoe boots. His arms are lifted by his head and he's skiing without poles. His skis are tipped upward and he leans forward somewhat. Textured gold dot background behind Mickey in certain places to give pin stability. Pink face; red open-mouth smile. At the base of the pin is a gold bordered white rectangle with "VAIL" in gold.
The pin measures 1 1/16" (27 mm) wide by 1 1/4" (32 mm) tall. The reverse has a straight back with clasp, cross-hatch texture and "(c) Disney, MFG by Monogram Products, Inc., Taiwan." One of a series of ski resort pins created during that time period.
