Front Description
Mickey Mouse, turned and facing slightly left, is snow skiing in North Carolina's Beech Mountain ski area. The brooch-style gold metal pin is identical in pose to the Mickey Snow Valley pin, with Mickey in yellow ski pants, light blue shirt and hat / cap with yellow trim, black skis and pole ends, white gloves and ski shoe boots. His arms are both lifted as if he was getting ready to dig into the snow, and skis are crossed a little as if he were moving up a slope. Open-mouth smile. At the base of the pin is a gold bordered red rectangle with "BEECH MTN." in gold.
The pin measures 1" (25 mm) wide by 1 1/8" (28 mm) tall. The reverse has a straight back with clasp, cross-hatch texture and a simple "© DISNEY" at the bottom. One of a series of ski resort pins created during that time period.
