Front Description
This is an old painted metal pin of Minnie Mouse holding a bunny rabbit. It is one of a series of at least four pins featuring Disney characters in this enamel process: The pin was dipped in white enamel (such as was done with pots and pans in the 1940s) and then hand painted. Minnie is turned slightly right but face turned left, eyes looking upward. She's definitely posing. She wears a green dress with yellow bloomers and red or pink bow in her hair. Red smile. She holds, at right, a white bunny with pink ears and red smile. The rabbit swivels back and forth as a movement feature. An interesting luminescent quality to the pin causes color changes when light hits it.
The detailed 3D pin measures just under 1 3/4" (47 mm) tall and 1 1/4" (32 mm) wide. The backstamp is, "© WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS." Other pins of the same enamel-dip process include Pluto (#15679), Mickey Mouse (#19165) and Donald Duck (#50329).
