The Spirit of Disneyland pin is the highest honor a Disneyland Cast Member can earn (other than being named a Disney Legend). It is the counterpart to Walt Disney World's Partners In Excellence pin and is designed to adorn a Cast Member's name badge. The Spirit awards come in small plastic boxes and this pin bears a © Disney on its reverse.
This particular piece is the 2nd tier of the Spirit of Disneyland award program, signified by the inclusion of the blue gemstone in the middle of the Mickey ears in the center of this Silver Sleeping Beauty's Castle shaped pin. If you have already received a Spirit of Disneyland Award (identical to this without the blue gemstone), you will receive this pin to signify that you have received a 2nd Spirit of Disneyland award.
