Front Description
NB: This is a PIN that is a miniature replica of the medal, NOT the medal itself!
Pin to celebrate taking part in the "Castle to Chateau Challenge" at the Inaugural 2016 Half Marathon weekend at Disneyland Paris. The Challenge was for people to complete the Half Marathon in Paris as well as having previously completed a Half Marathon in either Florida or Anaheim in the same year. Note that this pin was not awarded for completing the race, and needed to be bought separately - it is limited edition to far fewer copies than there were participants in the race (15 thousand people attended the event).
It is a miniature replica of the Medal, in pin form. The design shows the castle in gold, along with American and French flags, in an ornate medallion design. It has a small grey fabric tag to represent the ribbon lanyard on the original, however this tag is very small and does not function as a loop or lanyard. It contains the text "2016 Castle to Chateau Challenge", with 2 hidden Mickeys.
There are 2 other similar pins available, which are replicas of the medals for the other races.
This pin is limited edition to 600, and each is numbered on the back. It was only officially available for 4 days, and sold out on the first day.
The back has two pin fixings, and it came on a white card, with a map of the route and run Disney and Disneyland Paris Logos, and specifies "Édition Limitée".
One of six limited edition pins available exclusively at the RunDisney Expo in Disney Village for the 2016 Inaugural Half Marathon Weekend.
