This is a cast member pin, but it was widely distributed. Store & Park cast members received them, I'm unsure if the rest of the company did as well.
This was also distributed at the Studio. October 16, 1923 was the date Walt signed the contract to produce the Alice Comedies cartoons, and is officially the start date of the Walt Disney Company, then known as "The Disney Brothers Studio."
1 inch by 1 1/2 inch pin and says Disney Taiwan on the back.
