One of seven pins from the 2017 Lion King Characters set of Hidden Mickey pins that was released in Wave A at Walt Disney World. Each pin features the head of a different character from the Disney animated film, Lion King, on a silver (unenameled) background topped by four oval “toes” which have been colored to match each animal’s fur. These cut-out pins are shaped like a lion’s paw, with the smiling characters seen inside in a sort of framed look. The small Hidden Mickey icon can be found on the left side of each pin. Pins were originally only available by trading with a cast member. In August 2018, pouches containing two random 2017 Hidden Mickey pins were available to purchase for $12.99.
This pin features Scar, Simba’s evil uncle, glaring right at you. The “toes” at the top of the pin are dark terracotta.
The five common pins include Simba, Rafiki, Timon, Pumbaa and Scar. Pumbaa is repeated on the silver Chaser pin. The Completer pin features Ed the hyena.
