In 2000, the resort began a massive effort to recruit and train the thousands of new cast members who would be needed to open DCA and Downtown Disney. The Disney University (Disney U) recruited Disney cast members from many different departments to form training teams for the various Lines-of-Business (LOB). In February of 2001, Disney U had an appreciation banquet for the trainers. They were presented with a certificate of appreciation and a button. The button has the same logo as this pin. The training managers were the only ones who received the cloisonne pins, the trainers got the buttons (38793).
