Front Description
The 2 pins are sold together on a single card for $19.99 and represent the old '70s lunchbox and Thermos® sets that were merchandised when the original movie came out. Both pins have the text "40 Star Wars" on them with the silhouette of Luke and Leia in the "0". Luke has both hands on his lightsaber above his head. The lunchbox shows the full color version of the Luke and Leia image used in the silhouette. This time they are set on the background of Darth Vader's mask with the Death Star to the left of Darth Vader and many X-Wing fighters streaking up to the Death Star. R2D2 and C-3PO are positioned to the bottom right of Luke. The lunchbox has a black border with stars and a red handle at the top. The Thermos® shows Luke and Leia swinging and Leia firing her blaster from the chasm scene in the Death Star. They are set against the space background with the Death Star above their heads. Darth Vader appears to the right of Luke below Leia's blaster. Storm Troopers appear below Darth Vader and below Luke's blue light saber. Han Solo is firing his blaster to the right of them. Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2D2 are standing in front of the Storm Troopers. Obi-Wan Kenobi is to the lower left of Leia. The Thermos® has a red cup top and a black bottom.
The back of both pins have the mickey head pattern and the same content: the pin trading logo, the Star Wars 40 logo, the text block "Limited Edition 3000 / © Disney / © & ™ Lucasfilm Ltd. / Made in China" and FAC# stamped facing the right edge. On the Thermos®, they are stacked vertically with the text on top, the pin trading logo in the middle and the Star Wars 40 logo at the bottom with the FAC stamp to the right of the bottom two. On the lunchbox, the pin trading logo and the Star Wars 40 logo are on the same line and the text block on the second line almost the same width as the first line with the FAC stamp to the right of the 2 lines. The lunchbox has 2 posts and the Thermos® has 1 post.
