Front Description
As part of the celebration for the 26th Anniversary of Downtown Disney Marketplace, this LE3000 map was handed out on 22 Mar 2001 to Guests who wanted to play the PIN PURSUIT game. The back of the map card had instructions: "Receive a stamp within each location by trading a pin with a Cast Member OR by answering one of the following questions. Make your final destination the World of Disney Store to receive your completer stamp and Anniversary pin. One map distributed per person per day; redeemable for one pin per completed map, per person, per day."
The locations and questions were as follows.
~ Art of Disney: "Which member of the 'Fab Five' is standing next to the artist at the personalization desk?"
~ Pooh Corner: "How many of Pooh's Hundred Acre Wood friends are featured in the mural behind the register area?"
~ Pin Trading Station: "For information sessions about Pin Trading, when should guests visit the Pin Trading Station?"
~ Disney at Home: "Perched above the center register area, which character is wearing a yellow construction cap?"
~ Days of Christmas: "It should come as little surprise -- the 'Seventh Day of Christmas' features which characters?"
~ Gourmet Pantry: "Let the delicious aroma lead you to answer this question -- What is the Coffee Flavor of the Day?"
~ Team Mickey: "Huey, Dewey and Louie are having fun playing what sport?"
~ World of Disney: "Watch your back as you enter the pin room, which is themed to which Disney characters?"
Once you'd answered the questions correctly or traded a pin with a cast member, you were free to head to World of Disney to get your LE3000 Completer pin. However, it wasn't much of a "completer" pin, if there was no eight-pin set to complete. Each of the eight locations had their own open-edition rack pin available (for $6.50) which matched a printed spot on the map. Voila! A completed nine-pin set!
