Front Description
This limited edition pin is part of the collection for the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, which celebrates various artforms and mediums from around the world. This pin features everyone’s favorite purple dragon, Figment, from the Journey Into Imagination ride, cleverly inserted into the famous work of art, “Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies” by Claude Monet (1899). In the painting, Figment stands on the titular bridge happily looking at his reflection in the pond below, which is full of water lilies and other plants and flowers. The portrait itself is coated in a thick layer of soft clear acrylic and inset into a sculpted gold frame embellished with elegant fleur designs on the corners and sides, an artist’s brush and paint pallet emblem on the top, and an emblem of Figment’s face and wings at the bottom. Dangling from the bottom of the portrait is the logo for the Festival. This pin is a re-creation of one of the portraits found when playing Figment’s Brush with the Masters scavenger hunt. Other pins in the series include: For search purposes: January 2018, masterpiece, Japanese bridge, impressionist, lily
