Front Description
This round pin is one of at least four similar posed pins released to commemorate the 2002 World Cup Soccer tournament held in Japan. Mickey is arched backward, tilted to the left, after heading a soccer ball. His arms are extended to the right and he's on his tiptoes. Mickey (who's face is uncharacteristically red) wears a light blue shirt, green shorts and shoes of yellow, blue and green with pink laces.
Behind Mickey is a dark blue circle with a smaller white circle in the center. At top, in gold is "2002" with "MAGIC KICK!" in gold at lower left and "JAPAN" in the outer band of color, also in gold.
The pin measures 1 3/8" (36 mm) wide and tall. The reverse has a single post with two shorter nub points - one on each side of the post - and gold butterfly clasp. Gold back is waffle patterned. "© DISNEY, TOYKO" is the imprint.
There is also a pink (#90092) and green (#90093) version of this pin, as well as a reported tan one.
