Front Description
This is a semi-cloisonne pin. The recessed wells are filled with a color one at a time and then fired in an oven to a shiny finish. The pin is then ground to remove excess enamals and polished to a high gloss.
There are 12 in this collection manufactured by Applause Inc. of Woodland Hills, CA. They were sold individually, sealed in plastic blister packs with foam protectors at the back, and also offered in a boxed set. The pins were also available through the Star Wars Collectors club and at selected retailers. This pin was purchased at Walt Disney World.
The pin measures 1 5/8" (41 mm) wide by 1 1/4" (32 mm) tall.
