JANUARY: Space Mountain. This is the 1st of 12 three-pin sets in the Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction monthly series released in 2020. This set features Minnie and the Space Mountain ride. One pin shows Minnie, dressed in a white conical dress that looks like the outside of Space Mountain and white boots. The second pin shows an earband sporting a white bow with a clear jewel in the center and screen-printed galaxy ears. The third pin shows the ride, Space Mountain, with an oval, glittery, purple background.
"Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction" was a monthly release in 2020, featuring Minnie on pins and other merchandise which spotlighted twelve different Disney theme-park attractions. Each Pin Set featured a full figure of Minnie Mouse dressed in a ride-themed outfit, an earband themed to match, and an attraction icon. The cost of each of these Limited-Release sets was $19.99. During the first two months, items were only available in person at the WDW and DL parks. In the third month of release (March), the national Covid-19 shutdown caused a quick switch to selling the items only on shopDisney.com through their new MerchPass lottery system. Unfortunately, the shopDisney.com website was grossly inadequate for the number of people sitting at home waiting to buy the sets, and it was often impossible to even gain access to the sale. If you were fortunate enough to be allowed in, it wasn't uncommon for the website's check-out system to crash as you tried to pay, because of the sheer quantity of people trying to purchase at one time. By the time you got back to that point again, however, the items were usually sold out (usually within two hours). This was a difficult collection to complete at the time.
