Front Description
This diamond-shaped pin celebrates the 35th anniversary of the Magic Kingdom. It was made available to members of the Magic Kingdom Club, an organization Disney created for members of certain businesses and labor groups. (Possibly the precursor to The Disney Club.)
Since the Magic Kingdom opened its doors on October 1, 1971 and this pin was listed before 2006, it stands to reason that the Magic Kingdom Club existed for several years prior to the opening of the park.
The pin is at least 5 years old, but I don't remember the actual date it was released. It's marked ©Disney
It is a white pin, square with rounded corners. In the center is a thin purple 35 with an "TH" and "ANNIVERSARY" in very small black print. It is encircled with a blue band with "MAGIC KINGDOM" in white around the top and "CLUB" at the bottom (red dots on the bottom half of the blue circle). At the bottom left, in blue, is "Celebrating" and at right is "Thirty-Five Magical Years!" Scattered throughout the top half of the pin are tiny Mickey head icons in various colors.
Properly displayed, the pin measures 2 5/8" (67 mm) wide and tall. There is a "© Disney" on the bottom left edge.
