Front Description
One of twelve monthly CEREAL BOXES limited-edition pins released at both DL and WDW in 2020. These pins were available in the parks during January, February, and July-December. Due to Covid-19 shutdowns, the monthly release for April-June was moved to shopDisney.com. There was no release in March, when things had pretty much come to a standstill everywhere, so three pins were released in April and May in a catch-up move.
Each hinged pin looks like a cereal box themed after a different Disney character. When you open the pin, you see an epoxied printed image on the right side meant to look like cold cereal. At the bottom of this picture is a chain with a coordinated dangle "toy" on the end. When the pin is closed (round magnet on right side), you can let the dangle hang down or hide it inside the box. When open, the left side of the pin (back of the front) has a printed game like cereal boxes used to have. The backer card says SURPRISE TOY INSIDE EACH BOX! and Start your day the Disney way!. It also says GUARANTEED FRESH and GREAT TASTE!. In small letters at the bottom, it reads "Not actual cereal. Not an actual toy."
The front of this Cereal box hinged pin shows in the left bottom corner Professor Von Drake. He wears a white shirt with black tie, yellow sweater vest and an olive green jacket. In his left hand he holds in his left an olive green bowl. From the left upper corner of the pin 3 rays (red, orange and yellow) stream into the bowl, causing milk droplets to splash out. The rays contain letters and numbers. The right upper corner of the pin is red and contained "New colors! New flavors!". The rest of the background has green and blue vertical spaces. Opening the pin reveals on the back of the cover a high-relief of an L shaped-labyrinth toy, the other side shows a picture of a bag of cereal of letters and numbers. From the middle near the bottom a mini colorful globe on a chain comes as dangle element. The pin comes on a beige card, layout like cereal boxes, texts: Surprise toy inside each box!, Start your day the Disney way!, Yum! guaranteed fresh, great taste!. At the bottom in very small digits: *Not actual cereal. Not an actual toy. all sort of red and redbrown lettering. At the back horizontal lines as sort of text.
