Front Description
One of twelve monthly CEREAL BOXES limited-edition pins released at both DL and WDW in 2020. These pins were available in the parks during January, February, and July-December. Due to Covid-19 shutdowns, the monthly release for April-June was moved to shopDisney.com. There was no release in March, when things had pretty much come to a standstill everywhere, so three pins were released in April and May in a catch-up move.
Each hinged pin looks like a cereal box themed after a different Disney character. When you open the pin, you see an epoxied printed image on the right side meant to look like cold cereal. At the bottom of this picture is a chain with a coordinated dangle "toy" on the end. When the pin is closed (round magnet on right side), you can let the dangle hang down or hide it inside the box. When open, the left side of the pin (back of the front) has a printed game like cereal boxes used to have. The backer card says SURPRISE TOY INSIDE EACH BOX! and Start your day the Disney way!. It also says GUARANTEED FRESH and GREAT TASTE!. In small letters at the bottom, it reads "Not actual cereal. Not an actual toy."
The front of this hinged pin is completely in shades of brown. The background has vertical strokes in 2 shades, in the middle we a see into a bowl of milk with cereal taken from the top. The heads of Rutt and Tuke, the moose from Brother Bear, are in the left and right bottom corner. Their antlers are grey. In the left corner below 3 boxes with Calories, SatFat and Sugar data, in the right corner a small banner with "Surprise inside box!". The top of the pin has 3 labels: Fresh Nuts and Berries, 20G of Whole Grains, Essential Minerals. Over the front above the middle is printed BEAR BRUNCH. Opening the pin reveals on the back of the cover a high-relief design of an anagram game to unscramble the names, the solution is written at the bottom upside down. The other side shows a picture of a bag of cereal with berries. In the middle at the bottom a tiny bear on a chain comes as dangle element.
