Front Description
One of twelve monthly CEREAL BOXES limited-edition pins released at both DL and WDW in 2020. These pins were available in the parks during January, February, and July-December. Due to Covid-19 shutdowns, the monthly release for April-June was moved to shopDisney.com. There was no release in March, when things had pretty much come to a standstill everywhere, so three pins were released in April and May in a catch-up move.
Each hinged pin looks like a cereal box themed after a different Disney character. When you open the pin, you see an epoxied printed image on the right side meant to look like cold cereal. At the bottom of this picture is a chain with a coordinated dangle "toy" on the end. When the pin is closed (round magnet on right side), you can let the dangle hang down or hide it inside the box. When open, the left side of the pin (back of the front) has a printed game like cereal boxes used to have. The backer card says SURPRISE TOY INSIDE EACH BOX! and Start your day the Disney way!. It also says GUARANTEED FRESH and GREAT TASTE!. In small letters at the bottom, it reads "Not actual cereal. Not an actual toy."
The pin features Timothy from Dumbo sitting on a peanut, a spoon in his hand, he is wearing his red with yellow circus outfit facing to the right. Before him on the blue soil stands half a peanut shell filled with milk. Behind him a two shades of red form a circus tent. The top of the pin has 3 blue labels. In the right corner below 3 boxes with Calories, SatFat and Sugar data, higher comes a yellow banner with "Surprise inside box!". Over the front above the middle comes "Timothy's Circus Treats". Opening the pin reveals on the back of the cover a high-relief design of an scramble game to find Treats from the circus, the solution is written at the bottom upside down. The other side shows a picture of a bag of cereals (peanuts). From the middle at the bottom a tiny feather on a chain hangs as a dangle element.
