Front Description
This is one of eight pins designed by Walt Disney Imagineering for Mickey’s of Glendale and sold exclusively to Cast Members. Each pin features a main character or two designed in enamel. Around the enamel section, the base metal creates a film strip look complete with cutout for a projector to catch and roll the film. In the “frame” to the left of the enamel character, is a clear section where the movie’s name and anniversary year is written out. Two additional characters are featured (one on either side) of the film strip.
This is the pin celebrating the 35th anniversary of The Black Cauldron. Taran (brandishing the Magic Sword) and Princess Eilonwy are the enamel characters and are standing behind the Black Cauldron filled with green, bubbling magic. These three elements are a pin-on-pin against an enamel background of moss covered stone walls. The clear section of the frame to the left of the enamel frame features The Black Cauldron Logo written out in Old English font with “35th Anniversary” written across the bottom. The two characters that bookend this pin with the base metal are Gurgi on the left and Henwen on the right.
