Front Description
Twenty-four characters from the World of Disney were selected to be represented through symbols and colors on 24 different cloisonné pins. The individual pins could be “hung” as “ornaments” either on the pop up pin card Christmas Tree or with the aide of the attached black ribbon onto a Christmas Tree.
These pins were sold in a large case with 24 numbered drawers.
Each of Duchess’s three kittens are represented in stacked rows on this ornament. The top of this pin, including the ornament topper is white like Marie’s fur. There is a little pink bow at the confluence of the ornament topper and the bauble itself, resembling Marie’s top tuft of fur that is classically tied up just such a bow. There is a larger, matching pink bow at the bottom edge of the white row, mimicking the bow Marie wears proudly around her neck. The middle row color is orange to honor Berlioz, the orange kitten. A blue bow cuts through the center of this band of color and is tied below and to the left of Marie’s bow. The bottom row represents Toulouse is filled with black to match this kitten’s fur. Toulouse is known for his red ribbon that is usually knotted in place instead of bows like his brother and sister. This knitted bow is included along the top edge of this black row.
