Correction. This button was sold with a birthday cake to the public on December 5, 2001, in honor of Walt's 100th birthday. The only way to get this button was to purchase the cake. (and the cake was delicious!) The cake had the same design as the button on the top of it. It was 7.00 plus tax to purchase it and limited, but I can't remember the LE number. It sold out in the mid-afternoon, and once it was gone, there were no more to be had.
To further add to the story of this button--it was not only sold with cake. Once the cake sold out, DL replaced the cake with a cookie (which cost the same amount). They sold the cookies until the buttons sold out.
The image is of a birthday cake surrounded by Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Ariel, Roger Rabbit, the Genie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald Duck, Daisy and Snow White. Tinker Bell is flying in the sky and lighting the candles on the cake. Very Special!!
