Hinged pin. Sixth in the series of Marvel First Appearance Heroes released on July 11, 2023 at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. At the top of the comic is the heading 'Tales to ASTONISH' in yellow and below it 'I challenged GROOT!' with GROOT! in white letters. Below that in black letters is 'The MONSTER from PLANET X!' Groot is in the center with his arms raised. He is gray with a blue city behind him. In the bottom left corner is a character in red with a white speech bubble and the words 'I defy you GROOT!! I shall destroy you before midnight!' The bubble has 'I' in red and a red and black border. On the right is another white speech bubble with a red and black border and the words "BEHOLD! I am GROOT the invincible! Who DARES to defy me??" Hinged Pin opens and on the left side is 'First Appearance' with 'Tales to Astonish #13, 1960'. On the right side, at the bottom is a man in a yellow coat, red pants and a blue hat. Behind him are other characters with their back to us in blue. At the top is Groot on the right and to his right is a scalloped speech bubble with the words "Coward...Come BACK! Groot will show you the price of Defiance!!. Pin comes on custom backing card with 'First Appearance' title at top and 'Limited Edition' at bottom. Pin is Limited Edition 2000 and is 2 1/2" tall and 1 3/4" wide when closed.
