Commemorating 25 years of Astro Orbitor, the futuristic spinning ride is located at the entrance of Tomorrowland in Disneyland. The ride opened on 22 May 1998 and was a replacement for Rocket Jets, which was located at the center of Tomorrowland above the PeopleMover boarding station from 1967 to 1997. Astro Orbitor was designed to be a replica of the Orbitron from Discoveryland at DLP. The pin shows Shorts-style illustration Mickey as he pilots one of the rockets. ASTRO ORBITOR is in white along the bottom and 25 is in blue on one of the ride spheres above Mickey's head. Mickey in his rocket is a pin-on-pin element.
