Global Security pins are given to Disney/security staff cast members at the Dolby Theater (Hollywood, CA) during movie world premieres, live action events and other specialized events to identify they are a member of that event’s security detail.
This round gold, blue and red pin has an intergalactic theme. A white star cruiser, with gold and red afterburn flames soars into space from the bottom right of the pin to the middle top. A large 5-pointed (flat bottom) gold star and smaller white stars are in the night sky along with the words GLOBAL SECURITY. LIGHTYEAR PREMIER appears in an arc atop a lighter blue area on the bottom of the pin. Pin measures 1 inch in diameter.
Lightyear premiered at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA, on June 8, 2022, and was theatrically released in the United States on June 17. It became the first Pixar film to be released in theaters worldwide since Onward in March 2020, and the first to include scenes specifically formatted for IMAX theaters. The film underperformed at the box-office, grossing $226.4 million worldwide against a $200 million production budget, and losing the studio an estimated $106 million.
