This button was given out at the Animation Building to celebrate Disney Legend Joe Grant's 95th birthday in 2003. Joe began working for Disney Studios in 1933, beginning with the short “Mickey's Gala Premiere”. He also created the Witch from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, helped co-write Dumbo and led development for Pinocchio and Fantasia. During World War II, he worked on the Academy Award-winning cartoon Der Fuehrer's Face. In 1949 he left Disney Studios to start his own greeting card business. Joe returned to Disney in 1989 and worked on Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, Mulan, and Fantasia. He also worked on Disney/Pixar's Monsters, Inc. The caricature is by another Disney great, John Musker.
