This Disneyland Resort CM exclusive pin was given to cast members (and their friends and family) who registered for the Disneyland Resort CHOC Walk Team and collected over $50.00 in donations. This pin is an official Disney pin (unlike the CHOC pins) because it has the Disney copyright. It is also stamped "2002 Walk Team Exclusive" on the back. Because the 2002 walk team had approximately 3,000 walkers (and not all of the walkers donated $50 or more), the edition is 3,000 or less.
This is a great pin that features the Disney VoluntEARS logo as well as character shoes and feet.
For those who don't know, the CHOC walk is a benefit walk held every year as a fundraiser for Children's Hospital of Orange County in California. This year, the walk took an exciting twist because participants were able to walk through Disneyland Park, Disney's California Adventure, and Downtown Disney before the resort opened to regular park guests. Along the 4 mile walk route, walkers were entertained by several Disney Characters at various places around the park. It was truly a magical morning at the resort. :)
