STATUE & CLOCK BASE: Stands 12" tall and features a MICKEY MOUSE statue standing on a black base which has a small clock dial on the front. The face of the clock reads "100th Anniversary / DAI-ICHI LIFE". Mickey's dressed in a tuxedo, and the statue is done in a gold-and-silver two-tone finish. His right index finger is pointing up, while his left hand is stretched out, palm up. His palm is shaped to hold the ball which is covered in character pins.
PIN BALL: The metal ball is magnetic and has large Mickey-head holes punched out of the center of each space (which is where the pin post hangs). The ball is covered in 28 printed pins (no enamel) with an epoxy coating which has yellowed with time. In order to form the ball shape, the pins are a combination of hexagonal and pentagonal shapes. The 10 five-sided (pentagonal) pins feature various Disney animated character's heads, with their names printed on scroll banners at the bottom. The 18 six-sided (hexagonal) pins feature various characters as seen in Disney animated shorts or movies, with the film's year and name printed (in red) above and below.
